First, you’ll need Metamask installed on your browser. You can find those directions here.
Next you’ll need some Eth – The mint price for Starman NFT is .15 Eth but we recommend having more Eth to cover gas fees (transaction fees the blockchain requires to process transactions). If you’re not sure how to get some Eth we’ve done up another fancy guide here.
Once you have your Metamask and Eth visit the mint site: https://starmannft.io/
- Click the ‘Connect Your Wallet’ button
The metamask window will pop up in the top right of your browser, accept all of the prompts
Once connected the page will change to display the minting menu
Select the amount of tokens you would like to mint, and then click the ‘Mint’ button.
You’ll then see this confirmation message
Take note of the gas price. If you want to minimize extra fees, you may want to wait until the network is less congested to pay less gas. Just check back in periodically to see if it has gone down. (Just for perspective, during the writing of this article my gas cost was $67.70 – it jumped to $87 a few minutes later!)
- Scroll down and click the ‘confirm’ button to complete the transaction.
- If you open up your Metamask plugin by clicking on the icon, you can see the transaction listed there along with it’s status.
- The transaction should complete shortly if you have enough gas.
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR TROUBLESHOOTING PROBLEMS: If for any reason that the transaction doesn’t go through it is typically because gas went up and you don’t have the eth to cover it. Adding more eth to your wallet usually solves the issue.
In order to view your Starman NFT visit the OpenSea platform at this address https://opensea.io/account – Follow the prompts to connect your metamask wallet. Any NFTs you purchase can be viewed here. (Don’t worry, OpenSea is safe to connect to! – it’s currently the most used marketplace in the NFT space!)
